Not a whole lot here because I spent little time as I was driving to California, but there’s a few not terribly shabby photos.

Metaphor: The Tree of Utah (or, The Tree of Life). This is just off I-80 about an hour west of SLC. It was created by a Swedish sculptor, and dedicated in 1986. As the story goes, he, Karl Momen had a vision of a tree while driving across the Bonneville Salt Flats where, you will find, no trees whatsoever for miles around, so, rather unsurprising. He felt moved to create a “tree” after this moment.
